Director EOIs Open!
We are officially looking for an inventive, collaborative Director to help lead the next chapter of Plant-based Musical!
As we move into toward our premiere season at Bendigo’s Capital Theatre in 2027, we need a director with strong narrative vision, physical staging flair, and a passion for original musical theatre to help bring this story (and its singing flora) to life.
What We’re Looking For:
Dramatic and/or directing experience in musical theatre
Collaborative and inclusive leadership skills
A passion for a originating new work and locally developed musicals

About the show
What if the trees, shrubs and flowers in your garden could talk, sing and dance, and you never knew? What if they all had their own personalities, hopes and dreams?
Some people nurture their gardens, but not all of us have green thumbs. Others don’t really want a garden at all, and pave them to make way for other activities. How would the plants react to that? What would they do in the face of an existential threat?
